About the role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the structural design and analysis of a variety of projects, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of work, managing client relationships, and contributing to the development of the team’s technical expertise.
Requirements:
- Lead and oversee the structural engineering design and analysis for projects from conception to completion
- Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and regulations
- Collaborate with other engineers, architects, builders, designers, and internal and external stakeholders to ensure that projects meet the client’s needs and expectations
- Prepare project reports, specifications, and construction documents
- Provide technical expertise and mentorship to junior team members
- Attend project meetings and coordinate with project managers to ensure timely and accurate completion of projects
- Perform structural analysis and design utilising software tools such as Microstran, SPACE GASS, Coldsteel, CORD, RAPT & TEDDS
- Prepare project cost estimates and quotations
As the ideal candidate you will have:
- University degree qualifications in structural engineering
- A minimum of 8 years of structural engineering consultancy design experience
- Chartered Engineer status
- Demonstrated experience within Australia of commercial building structural engineering design
- Demonstrated experience of successful project management
- Demonstrated ability to liaise with a variety of people including builders, architects and clients
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
