Board Appointment

FMG Engineering has appointed its National Civil Manager Jordan Colbert to its board of directors.

Mr. Colbert joined FMG Engineering as an undergraduate intern in 2014 before qualifying as a Civil Engineer in 2015.  He became SA Civil Team Leader in 2019 and was promoted to National Civil Manager in 2022.  In his ten years with FMG he has been involved with a myriad of major projects including the King William Street and Magill Road upgrades.

FMG Chief Executive Adam Creek said that Mr Colbert has engineering smarts and a depth of experience well beyond his years.

“Jordan has demonstrated a consistently high level of proficiency and leadership over the years which made our decision to appoint to him to the board a logical one,” explained Mr. Creek.

“As far as larger engineering firms are concerned, his appointment to the board at 32 years of age bucks the trend but that is testament to Jordan’s capability and potential,” added Mr. Creek.

Mr. Colbert said he is excited to be given the opportunity to apply his strategic thinking skills to the benefit of the business as a whole.

“It’s an honour to have been invited to share the responsibility of stewarding this long-standing business and to keep the company of such seasoned engineering professionals on its board,” said Mr. Colbert.

Outside of FMG, Mr. Colbert has previously chaired the UDIA’s Young Professionals Group 2023-2025, and now currently sits on the UDIA SA’s Planning Committee a position he has held since September this year.

In August this year, FMG appointed Adam Creek as its new Chief Executive Officer.   Adam served as the State Manager of FMG’s Victorian operations since October 2024 and has taken over from Matthew Loftes who has transitioned to a business growth role and remains a member of the FMG board.

FMG Engineering recently celebrated its 50th year and is an award-winning engineering consultancy serving the development, property and urban infrastructure sectors.   It has offices in Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney and employs more than 190 engineers, scientists, technicians and support staff nationwide.
