Rhythm and Razzle

At FMG Engineering, we have always believed that engineering is about more than structures and technical solutions – it’s about the people and communities who rely on them. Supporting Southern Cross Care’s community bus is one way we put that belief into action.

Recently, our Strategic Projects Director, Jeremy Clapp, joined Southern Cross Care at their in-house Fringe Festival experience “Rhythm & Razzle” at the Regal Theatre. It offered a rare chance to see the community bus in motion and to witness its impact beyond the usual day‑to‑day service. What stood out most wasn’t the destination itself, but the sense of connection, independence and enjoyment the day brought to older South Australians who might otherwise struggle to participate in events like this.

For many passengers, the bus represents more than transport; it’s a bridge back into the world to friendships, culture and shared experiences. Watching the group arrive together, chatting, laughing, and soaking up the festival atmosphere, made it clear how essential this service is to wellbeing and inclusion.

“It’s inspiring to see how a simple bus ride can open up a whole world of connection for older South Australians. We’re grateful to play a small part in that.” ~ Jeremy Clapp, Strategic Projects Director

Our partnership with Southern Cross Care reflects FMG Engineering’s ongoing commitment to supporting the aged‑care sector and strengthening community life in meaningful, practical ways. From accessibility-focused design through to initiatives like this, we’re proud to contribute to a future where older Australians stay connected, valued and able to enjoy the moments that matter most.
